Not a love, not a jewel, not a single line
Drawing upon a rich collection of found images and her immediate environment for inspiration, Stephanie Hicks presents an exploration of repetition as it relates to lived experience and creative practice; a personal archive developed through the use of systems and patterning, and traditions of craft and decorative arts; and a musing on the impossibility of recreating any moment of our lives in its entirety.

CUT is an assembly of diverse art practices to which collage is an integral force. Twelve Melbourne-based artists select and assemble occasionally disparate objects, bodies, materials and other abstractions to question the interrelatedness of it all.
