Despite its reference to an definitive time frame, each artists presenting work as part of this exhibition certainly do not construct their works in a single afternoon. To coincide with the Drawing Symposium held every two years at Monash Art & Design, this exhibition demonstrates the continued place of drawing in art practice. Using a variety of media, both traditional and non-traditional each of the artists chosen to participate in this show bring at times direct and at others elaborate perspectives and techniques on what might constitute contemporary drawing based artistic work.
